Allen Mercer Daniel
Allen Mercer Daniel, Esq. served as the Howard Law Librarian from September 1931 through June 1956. Previously, he had served as Assistant Librarian at Howard from September 1924 to September 1931. He began his career at Howard Law Library as Special Assistant to the Librarian, which he held from October 1923 through June 1924.
In all, Allen Mercer Daniel served the Howard Law Library for 33 years of continual service. In his honor, our library catalog is named.
