LRRW Labs

Legal Reasoning, Research and Writing Library Labs

Howard law librarians teach legal research labs to first year law students as part of the required Legal Reasoning, Research and Writing (LRRW) curriculum.  The research labs enhance the practical legal research abilities of students in the LRRW program.

Research lab topics include case law and digests, citators, statutes, secondary sources, administrative law and legislative history.  Students learn to use print resources as well as online searching on LexisNexis and Westlaw.

First year law students must register for their appropriate LRRW Library Research Lab TWEN course in order to access the syllabus, lab outlines and assignments.  LexisNexis and Westlaw passwords are distributed during first year orientation.

Contact your LRRW professor or the law library instructors at 806-8208 for more information about the research labs.
