In order to manage on campus capacity and ensure the de-densification of our spaces during this time, the law school is deploying a new Seat Reservation System. Physical seats have been identified for student use in the Law Library, Houston Hall, and Holy Cross. Students are welcome to study on campus after consulting the Seat Reservation page for seat availability and making a reservation before coming to campus. Please note that these seats are only available to individuals who satisfy the requirements outlined below:
students actively enrolled at the Howard University School of Law;
students arriving from any of the hot spot jurisdictions flagged by the District of Columbia will quarantine for a minimum of 14 days before coming to campus;
students who have tested negative for COVID-19 within 7 days of first returning to campus;
students who have completed any additional requirements outlined by Howard University and/or the Howard University School of Law (e.g., trainings, pledges, complying with all safety requirements);
students must provide their Howard University or government-issued ID to security and sign-in before entering any buildings on campus; and
students must check into their assigned seat using the QR code and unique 3-digit confirmation code sent by email in order to reflect demand, use, and capacity accurately as well as assist with contact tracing in the event that someone becomes sick.
Virtual Study Rooms are available to current law students for group work (e.g., study sessions, student group meetings). The Law Library is managing and providing access to these virtual study rooms through the Zoom platform in order to facilitate student collaboration and engagement while the Howard University School of Law commits to ensuring the safety of all community members through the de-densification of campus.
