Howard Law alumna Carmel Henry rejoined the university as the Head of Access Services and Library Technology at the Vernon E. Jordan Jr. Law Library. Prior to joining Howard University School of Law, Ms. Henry served as a librarian and teacher for the District of Columbia Public Schools for nearly a decade. Ms. Henry's work focuses on expanding digital library technologies in education sectors. She is originally from Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science and Secondary Education from the University of Miami. In addition, to a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law, she holds a Master of Information degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. As a librarian, educator, lawyer, and community activist, Carmel works to foster progressive research collaboration across educational communities to increase digital literacy and social justice.
