Alicia Jones joined the faculty at Howard University School of Law in 2023. Prior to joining Howard, she served as the Associate Dean, Technical Services Librarian, and Associate Professor of Law at Southern Illinois School of Law Library for nearly a decade. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina Central University, a J.D. from Howard University School of Law, and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois. Prof. Jones teaches Legal Research Lab and Advanced Legal Research. In her roles as librarian and professor, she focuses on interacting with law students, in providing for greater accessibility to library resources and materials, and in helping them to understand the necessity of these materials on their law school careers. Her research interests include customer service in academic law libraries and the intersection between technical services processing and its impact on public services.
