Niketha McKenzie

Head of Technical Services and Special Collections

Niketha McKenzie rejoined the Vernon E. Jordan Law Library, as Head of Collection Services, in May 2022. She manages cataloging, acquisitions, and federal depository materials. She also provides archival and special collection research support to law school faculty and the general public in collaboration with the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center. Prior, to joining Howard University School of Law, Mrs. McKenzie served as the Regional Librarian for the Maryland Department of Education’s Juvenile Justice Detention Centers, and the former First-Year Experience Librarian at Howard University’s main campus where she worked with incoming freshman. Mrs. McKenzie is originally from Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Morris Brown College and a Master of Library Science degree from Clark Atlanta University.
