In January 2013, the national UCR Program began collecting offense and arrest data regarding human trafficking as authorized by the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. The act requires the FBI to collect human trafficking offense data and to make distinctions between prostitution, assisting or promoting prostitution, and purchasing prostitution… The data in the tables included in this report reflect the offenses and arrests recorded by state and local law enforcement agencies (LEAs) that currently have the ability to report the data to the national UCR Program. As such, they should not be interpreted as a definitive statement of the level or characteristics of human trafficking as a whole.
FBI: Uniform Crime Reporting
Crime in the United States, National Incident-Based Reporting System, Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted, and Hate Crime Statistics are produced from data received from over 18,000 city, university/college, county, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies voluntarily participating in the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program. The crime data are submitted either through a state UCR Program or directly to the FBI’s UCR Program.

Inter-University Consortium for Political & Social Research
ICPSR maintains and provides access to a vast archive of social science data for research and instruction, and offers training in quantitative methods to facilitate effective data use. ICPSR preserves data, migrating them to new storage media as changes in technology warrant. In addition, ICPSR provides user support to assist researchers in identifying relevant data for analysis and in conducting their research projects.
Statista
Statista is an online statistics portal providing access to data from market and opinion research institutions, business organizations and government institutions. Find statistics, consumer surveys and industry studies, search by topics, markets and industries; export and embed data and infographics in various formats.
United States Census Bureau: Same-Sex Couples
All Census Bureau demographic surveys collect information about same-sex couples. The level of detail collected varies, as well as the availability of other characteristics of the partners.
United Nations Dept. of Economic & Social Affairs: Gender Statistics Worldwide
Provides a list of links to databases and websites containing gender statistics or resources: Population, families and households; Health; Education; Work; Power and decision-making; Violence against women; Environment; and Poverty.
